Bio soluble ceramic fibre rope manufacturing process

The bio soluble ceramic fiber has the same performance with the ceramic fiber; it is a kind of Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES) fiber to replace the ceramic fiber. It has a lot of names now, such as bio soluble fiber, low bio persistent fiber, superwool fiber, and insulfrax fiber and so on.
The bio soluble ceramic fibre rope manufacturing process could be known as the same with ceramic fiber rope. But there are several kinds of ropes for them, they are braided rope (or European market call it packing), twisted rope, roving rope, and 3-ply twisted rope. Generally speaking, we could divide them by braided rope and other twisted ropes. The braided rope is harder than twisted ropes, some customer usually also called the braided rope as high density rope. These two types of ropes could be produced by two kinds of machines. We could see the difference between them as below introduced.
1.Bio soluble ceramic fiber braided rope manufacturing process
The braided rope is made from the 12, 16, 24 yarns braided, like the picture showed below. There is a bio soluble ceramic fiber core rope, and all the bio soluble ceramic fiber yarn is braided by 16 rotors outside. It looks like mother braids for her daughter. For the braided rope, if we change one component on the machine, we could make the round, square, rectangle, triangle and other special shape rope.
This kind of production process could keep the rope high density; the braided rope’s density usually achieved about 500~850kg/m3. So the braided rope could be used in high temperature and strong friction environment.
2.Bio soluble ceramic fiber twisted rope manufacturing process
The twisted rope, roving rope and 3-ply twisted rope are all produced by the machine picture as below. There is a rotor which high speed operating in the machine, the rotor twisted the yarn together to get the twisted rope.
This kind of production process could make us get ropes much quicker than braided rope. But the twisted rope’s density is much lower than braided rope, usually is 300~500kg/m3. It is used in some environment which is lighter friction.
We could see that the bio soluble ceramic fibre rope manufacturing process is very simple; only one machine could produce the final products. But the braided rope’s productivity is much lower than the twisted rope. For example, one machine could braid only 100m rope in diameter 25mm. But the twisted machine could produce 1000m rope in diameter 25mm.
At this time, we did not have better machine to solve this bottleneck for braided rope. But we arranged more machine and workers on the braided rope production to make up for this inefficient problem. We have total 40 braided machines which could meet all orders requirement. Because we all know that the braided rope is better than twisted rope on high temperature insulation.
