Common high temperature textiles in the market, brief introduction on the high temperature textiles.(1)

When we publicized we majored in the high temperature textiles, the clients are usually want to know how many kinds of high temperature textiles in the market. Let us introduce briefly about the high temperature textiles we know.
In general, the main high temperature textiles in markets are nearly all come from the aluminum silicate series. This is mainly due to cost considerations; the raw materials could be readily available. In short, their main chemical composition is SiO2, Al2O3, or SiO2 & Al2O3. Pls notice the introduction about the high temperature textiles’ composition below, the readers will find some fact.
1st, Ceramic fiber textiles. Working temperature is 1000℃ as normal classified.
The main chemical composition is Al2O3 : 45~47%, SiO2 : 49~55%, Fe2O3 < 1.2%. This composition is close to the raw materials’, so we could find that the ceramic fiber is the cheapest compared with other high temperature fiber we introduced, because the ceramic fiber could be produced easier. The factory do not need to do more about its separation and purification of ingredients, this has saved a lot of production cost.
But the simple production process left the ceramic fiber a key defect, we used the ceramic fiber is short fiber. This kind of short fiber is hard to spinning if we not use binder with it. More directly speaking, the binder fiber plays the role of adhesive to stick the ceramic fiber embrace each other. That’s why the ceramic fiber textiles have to add binder fiber and the binder will release smoke or a little fire when used firstly. (I will discuss more about the production process about ceramic fiber textiles and biosoluble fiber textiles in other articles.)
2nd, Biosoluble fiber textiles. Working temperature is 1000℃ as normal classified.
We could also called this is low bio-persistent fiber textiles. They are also same with superwool textiles.
The main chemical composition is SiO2 : 60~70%, CaO +MgO: 25~40%. This fiber’s composition is mainly SiO2 and alkali metal oxide. Its key advantage is biodegradable. There are lab reports could prove that the fibers could be self-degradation in human body. This fiber is very similar with ceramic fiber in physical performance, so we could see it is a perfect substitute for ceramic fiber.
We have to insert another word that, if we add zirconium dioxide fiber when spinning the ceramic fiber or biosoluble fiber, the working temperature could be raised to 1200C. The cost is also raised accordingly. Production process is not complicated; just we need to plan from spinning yarn. The spinning need more input fibers to produce; this is why we need MOQ for this kind of textiles.
