The braided ropes could also called packing, usually the US market call it braided rope and the European market call it twisted rope. The furnace and door are both steel material. There will be gaps in contact with each other. If there is no use of ceramic fiber braided rope or twisted rope to seal the door of furnace, there will be fire run out of the gaps. The ceramic fiber braided rope or twisted ropes could block the fire out of the gap, and they also reduce the friction between furnace and the door.

Because there is one piece of stainless steel wires and fiberglass filament in the ceramic fiber yarn at least. There are a lot of stainless steel wires and fiberglass filaments in the ceramic fiber braided rope and twisted rope. So these stainless steel wire and fiberglass filaments supply a lot of friction resistance to the braided rope and twisted ropes. We could find that the ceramic fiber braided rope and twisted ropes could be used much long term than the asbestos ropes in high temperature environment.
Generally speaking, the ceramic fiber braided rope and twisted rope is just different in the density and productivity. But they are all used in the high temperature sealing insulation and supply better friction resistance performance than asbestos ropes. The customer could choose any density and size according the usage environment requirement.
